Remember the Photographer You Used to Be? Find Her Again in 6 Months.
Last Updated: August 14, 2026
This isn't just a mentorship. It's a reclamation project. For the woman who is tired of feeling disappointed by her own photos and knows the photographer she remembers being is still in there, waiting.
Is This 6-Month Mentorship Right For You?
This mentorship is designed for a specific woman at a specific moment. It’s not for everyone. It’s for you if you’ve ever found yourself thinking:
[✓] "My camera has been gathering dust in the closet for years. The battery is probably dead."
[✓] "I used to love photography, but life took over."
[✓] "My spouse is wonderful, but on hikes, they’re three bends ahead while I'm still trying to frame a shot."
[✓] "I see stunning photos on Instagram and feel that pang—jealousy mixed with longing."
[✓] "I need a structured plan with accountability, or I know I'll never make time for this."
[✓] "I'm tired of coming home from incredible trips with just 'looked like a great trip!' photos."
[✓] "Can I justify spending this on myself?"
If you felt a pang of recognition in more than two of those, you’re not alone. And you’re in the right place.
What Is The Reason Your Camera Stays in the Closet?
The reason your camera feels heavy is because the entire process around it has become a source of friction, not joy. It’s a workflow that works against you.
It’s the chaos of tangled chargers and full SD cards. It's the constant disappointment of not getting the results you envision in your head. It's the disappointment of scrolling through a hundred images from an adventure and realizing none of them capture how it felt.
This mentorship is designed to solve those first. We help you find inspiration and build skills that will help you see differently, so you can find the joy.
How Does This 6-Month Mentorship Transform Your Photography?
This program is a six-month, one-on-one deep dive designed to rebuild your creative confidence from the ground up. It's a structured, accountable process that gives you exactly what you need at each stage of your journey back to yourself.
MONTH 1: Vision-to-Settings Framework
Goal: Forge the muscle memory that connects your creative intent directly to your camera settings. We bridge the gap between "what I want this to look like" and "what I need to do to make it happen."
MONTH 2: Seeing Like a Photographer (Elements of Design)
Goal: Master the fundamental visual elements—Line, Shape, Form, Texture, Pattern, Space, and Colour. You'll learn to see these elements everywhere, turning ordinary scenes into intentional compositions.
MONTH 3: Mastering Light & Exposure
Goal: Learn how different qualities of light create mood, emotion, and narrative. You’ll tackle five distinct lighting scenarios—from harsh midday sun to soft blue hour—and learn to master them all.
MONTH 4: Visible Storytelling Development
Goal: Move beyond isolated strong images into cohesive visual storytelling. Learn to develop a body of work around a unified concept.
MONTH 5: Perceptual Seeing & Finding Your Voice
Goal: Go deeper than the rules. We move beyond technical rules into Gestalt principles, The Morphics, and visual metaphors. This is where you stop making "good" photos and start making photos that are undeniably yours.
MONTH 6: Your Signature Themed Series
Goal: Synthesize six months of rediscovery into a body of work that is undeniably yours. You'll present this body of work, marking your transformation from rusty to confident photographer.

What Are Past Mentees Saying?
Don't just take our word for it. Hear from women who were exactly where you are now.
“In September 2025, I attended one of Cobi’s one day workshops. I loved it and I learned a lot - but what I really learned is how much I have to learn. So, after the workshop, I contacted Cobi to inquire what she’d recommend to help keep me motivated to continue learning. She suggested her mentoring program - so I signed up right away for a 3 month mentoring session.
It’s been fantastic. Cobi is a great teacher. I love that she assigns neat little projects to work on over the month, the results to be reviewed and discussed at our next session. The monthly “homework” kept me focussed and accountable to myself to get out and experiment with the DSLR camera I bought with lofty intentions at least 10 years ago, but then mostly shelved in favour of my oh so easy phone camera. I’ve definitely elevated my photography to a new level and looking forward to seeing where it’s at come January 2027!
But I can’t sign off without adding what might be the best outcome of our mentoring sessions — I have a new friend. Thanks, Cobi, for all your help … and your friendship.” - Ellen
“The mentorship was everything that I expected, wanted and needed and more. Monthly assignments, photo critique, editing and organizational tips. The assignments pushed me outside my comfort zone and some of my favourite pictures from the project are while walking the dog in my neighbourhood (vs an epic vacation trip). Thank you Cobi!” - Sandra
Who Is Your Mentor?
Your guide for these six months is Cobi Sharpe.
I'm a wilderness adventurer, a canoe tripper, and a photographer who believes your camera is a tool for remembering who you are. I've taught over 100 women how to dust off their cameras and find their creative confidence again.
I'm not a guru. I don't believe in gatekeeping, pixel-peeping, or telling you that you need to upgrade your gear. I built this because I know that without mentorship and feedback, it’s hard to know if your skills are improving.
Frequently Asked Questions About the Mentorship
Is my camera too old or not good enough?
Your camera is not the problem. Your confidence is. We fix your confidence. The camera you already own is perfect for the job.
What if I'm really, really rusty?
Perfect. This program is built for the "rusty" photographer. We don't assume you remember everything. We rebuild your confidence from the foundation up, starting with your vision and connecting it to the settings. You won't be left behind.
Will I have time for this?
This mentorship is designed for women with full lives. The monthly projects are focused and meaningful, not sprawling and time-consuming. The built-in accountability is specifically there to help you carve out and protect this time for yourself.
How is this different from a workshop?
A workshop is a fantastic, intensive learning experience over a few days. This mentorship is a six-month relationship. It's a slow, steady transformation with consistent support, accountability, and a program tailored to your specific journey, not a general group.
Can I justify spending this on myself?
This isn't an expense. It’s a reclamation project. And the project is you. Is that project worth it? Only you can answer that.
Reclaim the Photographer You Are Meant to Be
This is your turn. It's time to invest in yourself with a structured, supportive, and transformative experience.
This mentorship is a significant commitment, and because of the one-on-one time involved, spots are extremely limited.
