Call for Photographers: Join Our Spark Instructor Roster
We’re building something different — and we want to know who's out there.
Spark Adventure Photography Workshops is growing, and we’re on the lookout for photographers who believe that real connection beats perfect pixels — and that slow, immersive and mindful photography can change the way we see the world.
We’re not creating your average photo experience. Sure, we could rush from spot to spot and tick off the postcard shots. But that’s not our style. We’d rather help you photograph what moved you — not just what looked good. Soul over shot list. Meaning over metrics. Let’s make photos that matter.
Spark workshops are screen-free, meaningful, and rooted in our three guiding pillars:
✨ Spark Your Connection — to nature, to story, and to yourself
✨ Spark Your Curiosity — through quiet observation and wonder
✨ Spark Your Story — by capturing the essence of a place with integrity
Our weekends blend hands-on learning with real-world practice — no scrolling, no distractions, just presence. We believe photography is more than a skill; it’s a powerful way to see, feel, and remember.
Who We're Looking For
We want to build a diverse, inspiring Spark Instructor Roster of photographers who we can call on to help guide our 2026 workshop series (and beyond).
You might be a great fit if:
You’re an experienced photographer in nature, macro, wildflowers, birds, mushrooms, wildlife, landscape, or travel and storytelling
You have a warm, encouraging, inclusive teaching style
You’re aligned with our values of ethical storytelling, environmental stewardship, and mindful connection
All instructors must align with our women-first values and be committed to dismantling gender inequity in outdoor photography and adventure spaces
You’ve led groups or taught before (formally or informally)
You’re excited to help women (and folks identifying as women/non-binary) fall in love with the art of seeing — not just snapping
No co-design needed — you’ll deliver a workshop that’s already thoughtfully created and infused with our Spark philosophy.
What We’re Planning
Weekend workshops (Sat–Sun), starting Spring 2026
Themes include (but not limited to) birds, fungi, macro, wildlife tracking, photo essays, and cultural storytelling
Small group size (max 8 participants)
Locations across Ontario (and potentially future national/global sites)
Opportunities for repeat teaching & future collaborations
We’re building our roster now so we can grow with intention. This is your chance to get on our radar — even if the perfect workshop isn’t scheduled yet.
