We’re building something different

Spark Adventure Photography Workshops is growing - and we need instructors who understand that women's creative time gets steamrolled by life's demands, and that reclaiming it isn't indulgent. It's essential.

We're not your average photo workshop company. While others focus on getting the shot, we're helping women dust off their cameras and remember who they were before life took over.

We help women reconnect with the photographer they set aside and build the confidence to go from “I like taking pictures” to “I am a photographer” on their terms.

This Isn’t Just About Taking Better Pictures

We're looking for instructors who get it:

• Photography is the pathway back to creative identity - not just a hobby to pick up

• Women don’t need remedial training - they need validation that they’re ready exactly as they are

• Real teaching means taking the guesswork out so they can master their camera and explore independently

• Women deserve patient, jargon-free, ego-free teaching spaces where slowing down the group is celebrated, not apologized for

• Photography is still just three things: aperture, shutter, ISO, but it’s also permission to make creative time non-negotiable

Our Mission: Creative Time as Resistance

Spark workshops exist to help women resist the culture that steamrolls their creative priorities - and reclaim photography as their anchor.

We guide women who:

• Haven't picked up their camera in years and wonder if it's too old (it's not)

• Feel rusty and fear they're too far behind to start again (they're not)

• Need their people - women/women-identifying who understand that stopping the car for the photo isn't annoying, it's necessary

• Are ready to build unshakeable confidence and the skills for photography adventures—no waiting, no compromising

Our workshops are judgment-free reconnections where women remember the artist they used to be, and discover she never left.

Who We’re Seeking

You might be the right fit if:

✅ You're an experienced photographer in nature, macro, wildflowers, birds, mushrooms, wildlife, landscape, or cultural storytelling (etc.)

✅ You have a warm, patient teaching style that takes the guesswork out - no ego, no intimidation, no jargon they have to Google later

✅ You're aligned with our values: creative reclamation as resistance, women-first spaces, photography as wellbeing practice, and ethical storytelling principles

✅ You've led groups before and understand the difference between teaching gear operation vs. developing authentic vision

✅ You understand that "rusty" doesn't mean beginner - these are lapsed artists reconnecting, but could also be novices starting from scratch

✅ You're excited to help women fall back in love with manual mode - and the presence, confidence, and freedom it unlocks

Most importantly: You understand that photography isn't about keeping up - it's about slowing down, seeing authentically, and reclaiming the creative time that got buried under everyone else's needs.

What We’re Planning for 2026/2027

Weekend Workshops (Sat–Sun), starting Spring 2026:

• Workshops focused on manual mode and authentic vision development in awe-inspiring Ontario, Canada and international locations

• Themes include: Birds, fungi, macro, wildlife tracking, photo essays, cultural storytelling, and more

• Small groups (max 10 participants) for intimate, judgment-free learning where no one gets left behind

• Repeat teaching opportunities for aligned instructors

No co-design needed. You'll deliver workshops infused with Spark's philosophy, helping women reconnect with their cameras, build confidence that lasts, and step boldly into the photographer they've been dreaming about becoming.
