“I never really did anything with my photos. I had dabbled with Lightroom in the past, but to be honest, the whole process was rather scary and overwhelming.
Cobi brought clarity to the whole Lightroom process, from importing my photos to getting photos ready for social media or print. Her knowledge of photography and the editing process came through in her teaching. She was clear in her instruction, patient and encouraging both on our photo walk, and during the editing section of the day. I left feeling encouraged and inspired to not only edit old photos, but to pick up my camera on a more regular basis. I would encourage anyone struggling with the editing process, to take this workshop - you won't be disappointed. ”

Your Photos Are Everywhere. It’s Time to Fix That.
Let’s be honest. Your photos are stored on your phone, multiple old hard drives, and some random folder you can’t seem to find. There’s chaos. Your photos are stuck in a digital nightmare, waiting for a magic wand that doesn’t exist. You’ve dabbled with presets, but they never quite capture the raw emotion of the moment you felt. And the preset edit, doesn’t really feel like yours.
Imagine finishing a photo not by guessing, but by knowing exactly what tools to use to enhance the story you saw. Imagine a workflow that’s simple, and streamlined. This full-day workshop is designed to demystify the editing process and give you the confidence to finish your photos with meaning, learning the foundations of Lightroom in this beginner workshop.
In this workshop, we’ll start with a morning photo walk to have a collection of images to work with for the day. Then we transition to a guided, screen-supported session where you’ll learn the tools to make those images spark. Starting from importing raw unfinished files, categorizing them and creating organization, to editing, to finally exporting your finished work.
Why an In-Person Workshop? Because 100% Beats 10%
Online courses promise the world, but the stats don’t lie… most people never finish them. You have a 5-15% chance of completing that online class gathering dust in your inbox. And you always have questions with no one to answer them.
This workshop is different. It’s an immersive, hands-on experience designed for 100% completion. We’ll be side-by-side in a meeting room, working through the challenges together. You won’t get stuck. You’ll get it done.
We always say that a photo is the canvas, editing is the paint.
Who This Is For:
You have multiple folders and hard drives with your photos all over the place. You can’t find anything. There’s absolute file chaos happening.
Editing a photo feels very overwhelming, you don’t know where to start.
Your camera isn’t giving you the edit that you want.. what you interpreted in the moment. The camera’s deciding.
You want to complete your images. You took the photo, now finish it. They’re digital files, they need to be edited (especially in RAW).
Speaking of RAW, you’ve heard about it, but don’t really know what it is or why you should be “shooting in RAW.”
You want to be more in control in your artistry. For example, you took a beautiful landscape image at blue hour, but the photo feels very warm, more golden… to get that cool morning look, you want to tone the warm down, and make the image more blue… to reflect how it felt in the moment.
Should we mention the file chaos thing again? You want organization, finally.
We’re your people.
“Cobi's workshops are always well-paced, with lots of space for questions, practice, and reflection on how the learning is going. Cobi checks in often with participants and ensures everyone feels supported and learning at their own pace.”

Meet Your Mentor: Cobi Sharpe
An award-winning photographer and digital photography graduate with honours, I’ve built my business on two things: advocating for women's creative time carved out between the carousel of everyone else's needs, and breaking the rules. I’ve taught manual mode confidence and creativity techniques to more than 100+ women across Ontario over the last six years.
I’ve seen it many times. You love photography, but all of the new tech is overwhelming. You get frustrated by trying to find photos on your computer, and you want more organization. You want a workflow, you want efficiency, you want confidence as a photographer.
This isn't about finding out who’s the best. It’s about making you a better, more confident artist, helping you remember and nurture the photographer you used to be before life took over. I’m here to support you and take the guesswork out in an encouraging, low-pressure environment.
Spark isn’t about the hustle and pixel-peeping. In fact, we’re the exact opposite. We slow down, learn to move beyond looking to seeing, and treat photography for what it is, a practice for personal well-being, growth, connection, and creative reclamation.
Frequently Asked Questions
What should I bring? You’ll need a laptop with a current version of Adobe Lightroom Classic downloaded and installed. An external portable hard drive, your camera, lenses, backpack. Food/snacks, and drinks.
What should my experience level be? This workshop is for intermediate photographers. You’re not a complete beginner. If you’ve been intimidated by Lightroom or only used presets, this workshop is perfect for you. We’ll start with the fundamentals and build from there.
Why aren’t we just spending the full day editing? The workshop is designed for you to edit your own photos. It’s important to learn how to experience the process from start to finish. From importing photos, editing, and exporting your finished images. There’s more value in editing your own work then everyone using the same image.
