Screaming Heads Photography Workshop: Unleash Your Vision 😱
Women’s Photography Workshop | Midlothian Castle (Burk’s Falls), Ontario | October 18, 2025 | Beginner to intermediate | Master manual mode & capture dramatic, unconventional art
This Isn’t Another Workshop. This is Creative Rebellion.
Tired of your camera’s “auto” button picking and choosing how your images turn out? It’s almost like a ghost taking pictures for you. This workshop is your chance to break free. We’re heading to the surreal Halloween dreamscape of Screaming Heads to unlock your camera’s (and your own) true potential. A unique and sprawling outdoor art display created by Canadian artist Peter Camani. It features over 100 large, concrete sculptures, many of which are “screaming heads” with gaping mouths. The installation is located on Camani’s 310-acre property, which also includes his home, known as Midlothian Castle, and other sculptures, trails, ponds, and meadows.
Date: Saturday, October 18, 2025.
Location: Midlothian Castle (Screaming Heads), near Burk’s Falls, Ontario.
Audience: Amateur to intermediate women photographers (perfect if you’re still on auto or semi-auto modes!).
What’s Included: Full-day immersive instruction, hands-on practice, expert guidance, course materials, and access to this one-of-a-kind property.
Investment: $325 (for email subscribers until August 3rd), early bird $350 (until August 20), $375 full price.
Your Camera’s Haunted by Auto Mode. It’s Time for Banishment.
You’re drawn to the strange, the spooky, the beautifully bizarre - how fog hangs in the air, the crunch of fall leaves, the towering concrete heads silently watching. You know there’s a killer shot there, but your camera just… doesn’t get it. It delivers flat, lifeless images when you see a Tim Burton film come to life.
Let’s be real:
Auto mode is holding you hostage. Your photos come out too bright, too bland, or just plain wrong for the moody scene you’re witnessing.
Camera settings feel like a foreign language. ISO? Shutter speed? Aperture? It’s all just spooky-sounding jargon.
You crave real, hands-on learning to bring your creative vision to life.
Now, imagine walking through Screaming Heads in the golden autumn light, adjusting your settings with ease, capturing every eerie detail and dramatic shadow exactly as you envision it. You’re not just taking pictures; you’re crafting storytelling art.
What You’ll Experience: From Snapshots to Spine-Tingling Art
This isn’t just about pushing buttons; it’s about seeing differently. This full-day immersive experience will help you master your camera and unleash your unique artistic vision in one of Ontario’s most unconventional settings.
Here’s how we’ll make it happen:
Step 1: Master Manual Mode. Simple, step-by-step instruction to take control of your camera settings with confidence. No more guessing, no more auto-mode anxiety.
Step 2: Hands-On Practice. We’ll dive deep into the haunting sculptures and the vibrant autumn forest, learning by doing. Get real-time support as you experiment.
Step 3: Create Art, Not Just Snapshots. Learn how to use light, shadow, and perspective to bring out the atmosphere and tell powerful stories in your shots - Halloween style.
Capture Creepy Scenes on a Stunning Property: Develop your eye for composition to create truly moody, storytelling images.
Go Beyond Documenting: Cultivate a mindful, creative approach to photography that makes your images unforgettable.
