You’re in Great Hands
Cobi Sharpe,
Founder
A professional photographer based in Parry Sound, Ontario. Her mission? To help women (inclusive of non-binary and trans women) reconnect with nature through photography—and to do it on their terms.
After years of navigating an industry built for people without caregiving responsibilities or social barriers, Cobi built something different: workshops where presence matters more than perfection, and where connection to Land and self comes first.
She’s a published photographer ( Canadian Geographic, Explore Magazine, Outpost Magazine, Parks Canada, and Outside Magazine), a digital photography grad with honours, and a former studio assistant at Georgian College. She’s worked for clients like Nova Craft Canoe and Algonquin Outfitters. But Spark isn’t built on credentials—it’s built on lived experience, and a mission to get people off their phones and back into nature and culture.
Cobi picked up her first DSLR while living off the Alaska Highway and taught herself how to shoot bison, caribou, and the wild beauty of the Yukon. After returning to Ontario and graduating from Georgian College, she launched Spark with two participants and a big idea.
Beyond photography, Cobi is deeply committed to equality, body liberation, and the belief that outdoor spaces—and creative spaces—should be built for all bodies, all identities, and all kinds of stories.
This isn’t about chasing the perfect shot. It’s about learning to trust your perspective, slow down, and start creating self-reflected art and images. How the world looks and feels through her lens.
