Our Great Northern Adventure - Lake Superior Provincial Park (Agawa Bay)

What an exciting time! The first morning we woke up in the tent! Severn loved it.

A few things to mention here:

  1. the coffee - BEST instant coffee I’ve ever had (I’m a coffee snob)

  2. dehydrated strawberries in the bowl. A camping must for this family. We get out into the fields in late June/early July to pick fresh strawberries and then dehydrate them. Try them in your pancakes - epic

  3. don’t mind my husband in the background

We had breakfast and packed up. My husband and Severn hit the beach while I ran 5k around the campground and town of Massey before we left the park.

Took us about 5 hours + to get to the Lake Superior Provincial Park Agawa Bay campground. That included pee-potty stops and a lunch break.

Waiting patiently for me to return from my run.

We found a few things to keep Severn occupied in the car for these long drives. She loves pointing out Canada flags. So we look and look and look until we see one and yell "FLAG!” She absolutely loves that game.

Driving in northern Ontario with large stretches of land unoccupied, we had to change flags to signs. And then eventually trucks!

Severn got the hang of camping. As soon as we get to our campsite, she and I would take our permit and put it in the post. She loved that job!

As soon as we could, we took Sevie to see Lake Superior!

A moment I will never forget. A moment that will be deeply engrained in my memory. My first dip in Lake Superior with my daughter. Ouch, my heart. (cellphone shot)

I always love gathering on this beach with other people to watch the sun dip into the water.

This wraps up our second of 15 nights. Our next stop along the way is Sleeping Giant Provincial Park. We have a huge day of driving ahead of us!

Adventure awaits.
